BOSTON, Stack., Nov. 15, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Charlie Allen Restorations is the champ of a 2011 Contractor of the Year (CotY) Silver Award for its reflective introduction of a modern spa-style bath into a 1915 Colonial in Cambridge, MA. The endowment was presented at a gathering of the Eastern Massachusetts chapter of the Federal Association of the Remodeling Industry on Wednesday, November 9.
“We drudgery hard to accomplish the lifestyle needs of our clients while respecting the prominent character of their homes. This award is a wonderful validation of that allegiance, and results from the outstanding talents of our entire team,” says Charlie Allen, president of the Cambridge-based unbending.
The owners of the award-winning bath loved their 1915 Colonial, but hated the tight layout and jarring 1970s design of its master bath. They requested a working and soothing oasis.
The renovation process began by expanding the bathroom’s footprint several feet in each operation, borrowing space from the master bedroom and dressing section. This created room to accommodate a new double vanity and a split shower and tub. The existing bath was completely gutted, revealing that all lowest level joists had been compromised in a previous renovation. With a heavy saturated tub moving in, reframing the floor became the first priority. An elevator slap in the face runs adjacent to the bathroom, so extreme caution was cast-off during construction to protect the system.
The music of American pianist Keith Jarrett tinkling in the unnoticed adds a lively ambience to the bright Paris employment of Coty executive Michele Scannavini. “I listen a lot to music—any feather of music,” he says. Scannavini’s other interests cut a extensive swath. He also has a soft spot for Vespas, for instance, on which he likes to road around Paris. But Scannavini is probably best known for his indurate business acumen, which has helped transform Coty Inc. into a major balm player. As president of Coty Prestige, the executive has under his purview an eclectic array of brands, including Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Calvin Klein, Jennifer Lopez, Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs. It’s a portfolio that continues expanding. Lately last year, the division snapped up the Philosophy skin be responsible for brand and the Calvin Klein makeup license. In its financial year ended June 30, 2010, Coty Prestige generated 51 percent of Coty’s thoroughgoing sales of $3.6 billion.
But that doesn't cruel there's no activity out there, especially with interest rates hovering near unforgettable lows.
A national retailer may be coming soon to the former Havertys Fixtures store in Hanover Center , the space's leasing power said Thursday.
A single tenant would lease the whole 46,000 square feet, said Steve Warwick, a sharer in the Maus, Warwick, Matthews commercial real housing firm in Wilmington.
