Twenty-two-year-old Maya Ramos of Delray Bank, Fla., experienced the dark side of hair extensions firsthand after she began using crop-on extensions to make her shoulder-length hair longer and fuller.

Well-founded three months after her extension adventure began, Ramos saw signs of afflict.

"My hair was really falling and falling," she told "GMA." "I was shedding a lot of hair in the back toward the extensions."

The damage caused by the extensions, which she described as "sad" and "uncomfortable," was so severe that Ramos feared the worst.

"I was freaking out," she said. "I cogitating I was going to lose my hair by the time I was 30."

Concerned, Ramos sought the succour of a hair loss expert.

The specialist diagnosed Ramos with purchase alopecia, a form of gradual hair loss caused pre-eminently by a pulling force being applied to the hair. Within a year of quitting the extensions, Ramos' hair, much to her alto-rilievo 'high relief', had grown back.

Not so lucky is Chioma Odimegwu of New York Big apple. Odimegwu is considering a hair transplant at the age of 25 after six years of using hair extensions resulted in perpetual hair loss.

Buckhead hair extensions, cigar theft

The Atlanta Policemen Department is investigating a brazen smash and grab boosting overnight Saturday in Buckhead.

An off-duty Atlanta constabulary officer was working an extra job at a restaurant on Sydney Marcus Boulevard when he heard beaker breaking at the strip mall located across the suiting someone to a T from the restaurant. 

The officer went over to the strip mall to study when he observed five men exiting Sandy's Hair Be attracted to Co. and Scottish Tobacco stores with boxes of hair extensions and cartons of cigars.

The government agent requested back up and attempted to apprehend the suspects. The suspects fled on foot.

A responding dick who was en route to assist the officer, spotted the suspect's Chrysler Concord and attempted to pushy a traffic stop. The Chrysler fled from the administrator and crashed when it failed to negotiate the curve at Sydney Marcus Boulevard and Buford Highway.
