PARIS — Floweret buds curled tight, unfurling frail petals to the tinkle of eyeglasses chimes: Issey Miyake's new Japanese designer on Sunday unveiled a elegiac spring-summer look based on the life of a floret.
For his first collection for the Paris-based house, Yoshiyuki Miyamae sent out five groups of outfits -- entitled bud, generate, petal, blossom and bloom -- that each suggested a condition in the natural cycle.
Miyamae's chosen theme of excrescence and renewal was also intended as a message of hope to Japan following the trauma of Stride's earthquake.
Nude-coloured suits evoked a bud waiting to bloom, with incomprehensible pockets to hide hands away in, and jacket collars turned demurely up, under high-flown head pieces that wrapped the hair entirely in frivolous yellow or pink.
Semi-transparent like a petal, flowing tops followed in anaemic single tones or later in patterns of yellow, crestfallen and grey, above sporty leggings, with curvy cut out shapes and a stretchy strap hooked under the dowdy.
Lauren Conrad changes her scent from season-to-season.
The former 'Hills' star says he will acclimatize her smell to suit the weather and wears heavier fragrances during the cooler months.
Calligraphy on her website, Lauren said: "I love to change up my smell selections based on the season. In cooler months, I be partial to sophisticated scents that are more saturated. Whether it's a hint of musk, a bolt of lily, or a trace of jasmine, I like to think my yield and winter perfumes are a tad more elegant. For fall, I love Want Dior Cherie. And for winter, Issey Miyake is my go-to. Both scents have a lot more body compared to all of the lighter fragrances I most of the time wear during the spring and summer season."
Lauren says she's thoroughly obsessed with perfumes as she believes it finishes off her outfit.
She wrote: "To say I weakness perfume would be an understatement. For me, it's a must. A fabulous fragrance is like the frosting on a cake. It's the final touch. Perfume exudes delight, but for a fraction of the cost. After one spritz of my favorite eau de toilette (as the French would say) I'm instantly notable-feeling feminine and downright divine."
"Armani is global but very Italian, Paul Smith is universal but very English, Issey Miyake is a Japanese designer with a global reach. Similarly, an Indian schemer should be deeply rooted in the Indian culture but his offerings should be international," says designer Rahul Mishra, known for bringing 'chic' to Indian fabrics. Ever since he started out in 2006, after graduating from the Federal Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, he has constantly lent his creations a broad-Indian touch - something that is also obvious in his latest collection, 'Jaama', which was launched on Thursday at Rudraksh, Aundh.
'Jaama' marks the dawn of Mishra's bridal line, and was launched in Pune after Mumbai. Hyderabad and Kolkata will come after. The highlight of this Indian line is the opulent look that the conspirator has created out of chanderi. "It's all hand-embroidered and handwoven. The construction is western

He called the presence and asked if they would fly another one, and they refused. So he said: ‘Accomplished, how many do you have to do before I can buy them?’ So they made them – I over he has a closet full of them.”

In 1982, Fashion Got the Future Wrong
Morosely, the only people who seem to be living out those dreams nowadays are the Black Eyed Peas, which isn't undeniably what Issey Miyake et al. would have wanted. Here are some comparisons between the projected and the eventual reality.
