Her own salon at Goodna was devastated in the floods so this has a slighting edge. "I believe we can now see new growth occurring as we move on, pick up the pieces and get back on trail with business and our lives."
Ms Summerville owns three salons across Ipswich - Glenda's On Grange, Glenda's on Downs Hair Studio and Glenda's on Cynosure. She is celebrating the sixth birthday of the Grange Rd salon.
Glenda Summerville has more than 30 years circumstance in the industry. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the apprentices she trains.
"Hairdressing is active through a significant shortage of skilled people and this is making it an attracting career for many people," she said.
