Mark Herro (aka Mantic59) comes to Stag and brings his razor

While Herro has been bumping around the internet on forums and his blog for awhile, it wasn’t until he was contacted by fan Andy Tarnoff (of OnMilwaukee.com) that a new website was born titled The Sharpologist . The month-old plot was conceived by a couple of Tarnoff’s programmers and is regularly contributed by seven grooming experts including Herro and Tarnoff.

When Jess Stony, proprietor of Stag Barbershop and skilled straight-razor shaver saw note on Twitter that Herro was going to be part of a sold-out group seminar at the Palmer As a gift in Chicago, she asked if he could come to Milwaukee next.

With a few sponsorships and output from Hector’s, beer philanthropists Pabst/Old Milwaukee/Schlitz, and company accommodations at the Pfister Hotel – a class was born.  An overflow audience well-educated about different high-end brands and terms (badgerhair brushes, Iridium blades, DE) and advanced methods like the “J-Capture.” They received a communications with your barber lesson with Jess Taciturn, and got their boots shined by Izzy the Bootblack.

“No Shave November” Initiative Asks Students to Shave Off Their Shower Time

Sustainability Commission is urging Smith students to put down their razors and make a assertion about conserving water. No Shave November is a campus-encyclopaedic house competition where students pledge to forgo shaving for the undiminished month of November. The contest, proposed by the Sustainability Panel, aims to raise awareness about water usage on campus.

Last year, the Board on Sustainability wrote the Sustainability and Climate Action Lay out, detailing how Smith will fulfill its pledge to become carbon beige by 2030 and containing extensive statistics on water treatment at Smith College. In 2009, Smith used 45.6 million gallons of potable sprinkle, 58 percent of which was used in the houses by the students and dining caduceus. The plan aimed to cut this number by 1.5 million gallons of damp by 2015, and an additional 1 million gallons by 2030.

The method proposed in SCAMP to carry out this goal was two-pronged: introducing technology and changing learner behavior through education and competition.
