'Georgetown' is new name of Lakewood's former Three Birds restaurant

LAKEWOOD It has been months in the making, but Three Birds restaurant when all is said has a new name.

“Georgetown,” announced owner Mickey Krivosh during a assembly at the Lakewood fine dining spot, 18515 Detroit Ave.

Krivosh, who also owns close at hand Around the Corner, a popular Lakewood pub, bought the restaurant back in April with the goal of keeping everything the same _ chef (Rachel Spieth), food and mood. There was just one stipulation in the deal: the name had to be changed, a condition of former possessor James Bell.

Krivosh announced in June that a contest would be held to ascertain the new moniker. During the past few months, patrons were asked to get ready for suggestions. Among the more than 1,000 entries, one person’s proposition was picked. The title-holder will be rewarded with dinner for two and a bottle of wine of their choice.

Krivosh said the new name incorporates some Lakewood recapitulation, drawing on the memory of the “Georgetown Row” name presupposed to the attached portion of the complex that formerly housed the Bonne Bell cosmetic New Zealand.

Steven Stamkos: la pression du succès

Spout Steven Stamkos, comme pour plusieurs de ses coéquipiers du Lightning, le Colisée de Québec est synonyme de Tournoi universal de hockey pee-wee. Il y a une dizaine d'années, l'Ontarien y avait participé, en compagnie des Waxers de Markham, qui étaient repartis bredouilles. Un résultat que le talentueux marqueur, qui a coulé le Canadien avec une appearance de deux buts à Montréal jeudi, compte bien changer aujourd'hui, lors du twin retour entre les deux équipes.

Auteur de 45 buts et de 91 points en 2010-2011, Steven Stamkos air beaucoup appris de la belle poussée de son équipe, qui s'est rendue en finale de l'Est, lors des dernières séries. Il y odour d'ailleurs largement contribué avec une production de six buts et 13 points en 18 rencontres.

«Je veux continuer de m'améliorer. De toute évidence, j'attends beaucoup de moi sur le scenario offensif. Mais je pense aussi que je suis devenu un joueur complet lavaliere les séries et que je réalise davantage ce qu'il faut pour gagner à ce niveau. Je veux amener cette expérience sur la patinoire cette saison et exercer davantage de command. Nous avons un bon groupe de gars à Tampa. Nos belles performances en séries ont été très agréables. Nous voulons améliorer ce résultat, cette année.»
