3D Systems continues the the turf to bring 3D stereolithography (SLA) part-printing to a wider customer fundamental principle, launching its new ProJet 1500 high-resolution 6-color color printer with a 12,300 euro quotation tag.

The printer is designed to appeal to industrial designers, engineers, architects, marketing caduceus, teachers, students and even school children.

The ProJet 1500 prints working testing parts strong enough for fine detailed deride-fit designs with a relatively smooth surface finish. It “brings designs to mortal at print speeds up to five times faster than any other 3D printer in its order”, the company claims.

Buddy Byrum, elder director 3D Printing, says: “Aside from combining color printing with superior resolution models, we also had the target to make the ProJet 1500 up to 50 percent less dear in both acquisition and running costs than comparable products.”

The rare earths industry is at a turning plan, new sources of supply from mines outside China are coming on torrent, the industry in China is coming under more effective control with increased corporate consolidation led by position controlled enterprises, and a re-evaluation of the way in which rare earths are worn is taking place, following a year of unprecedented elated prices.

Changing pattern of supply

In 2011, China is estimated to account for 94% of everyone supply, with most of the remainder coming from Russia and the USA. By 2015, the take forty winks of the world will account for just over a quarter of world quantity and this proportion is likely to increase further over the five years to 2020.

Since 2006, Chinese administration controls on output, such as mining licences and quotas, have become more basic. In 2011, further controls were introduced and all companies mining rare earths will now be required to show that they have necessary production plans, appropriate planning permission, environmental certification and aegis licences. In addition, companies exceeding the production share can have their licence to operate revoked. In 2011, the Chinese command also introduced tighter controls on emissions from processing plants, which came into exact on 1st October.
