Woo hoo! In the long run a business trip!!!

Dominic wants me to go to Brussels on the 24th and upon a one-day workshop at the Dufresne office. As soon as he told me about it this morning I told him that I was fully passionate and was sure I would learn a lot from the trip because the topic was something very close to my stomach. Then he reminded me that he still hadn’t told me about the topic. (Minor goof up due to over-zeal.) I told him that I heard ‘someone discuss it somewhere’ and somehow avoided abashment.

The workshop is on ‘US Housing Market: Growth and profit opportunities for Dufresne’. Dominic thinks that the workshop is on an patent topic and entirely useless. But every Dufresne team working for a bank has been asked to send a rep.

I have no aim about the US housing market. But how complicated can it be? People need houses. Someone will vend the houses. Where will they sell it? At a housing market. Finished. I am safe I’ll manage.

Broadway Comes to Garden New Zealand urban area

Some of Broadway’s finest performers are coming to help Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Inside Nassau with its annual benefit for the Interfaith Nutrition Network. The procedure-up includes Broadway legend Joy Franz. Joy has appeared in the novel casts of shows from Company to Into The Woods. NYC FRINGE favorite Faye Lane will work excerpts from her celebrated hit, Beauty Shop Stories. The assign of NYC’s longest-running comedy show, Chicago City Limits, will be on side by side with expert improv and sketches. New York’s only four time MAC Grant winner Marcus Simeone will perform songs from his acclaimed new CD. Adding even more elegance to the proceedings will be The Hoftsra University Chamber Chorus. Jonathon Larson’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Endowment-winning musical will be performed by Hofstra University’s Activity be contingent of Drama and Dance. This production, directed by Hofstra Professor Cindy Rosenthal, features a vibrant and proficient cast of Hofstra student actors. Rent, a smash hit off and on Broadway in the 1990s, is a harmonious celebration of La Vie Boheme, loosely based on Puccini’s opera and set on East Village streets, fire escapes, tenements and cafes. This territory-breaking roller coaster ride depicting the joys and sorrows of an eclectic, differing troupe of young artists and activists will captivate audiences. Show times are Oct. 28, 29 at 8 p.m.; Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse, South Campus, Hofstra University, Hempstead. Tickets are $15; $12 chief citizen (over 65) or matriculated non-Hofstra student with ID.
