There's more than one way to create a walker, but here's one that's fairly kid-kind, says M.A.C. senior trainer Crista Chan:
1. Start with a creamy or very light foundation, dust with white powder. Categorize neck and hands if they will be visible. Using a fluffy but small brush (such as M.A.C. No. 109), start blending inward around eyes and contours of cheeks and neck with a taupe sidekick.
2. Choose a reddish eye shadow and buff around outer edges of eye in a encircle, in an oblong panda-bear eye shape.
3. Finish with a pitch-black shadow over the eyelid and under the eye. Use soft brushes to blend the colors together. For a finishing trigger, pucker lips and brush a little black eye suggestion across lips for a cracked effect.

This isn’t my Halloween check list. No. My dress will consist of jeans, sweater, a glass of wine and a visage full of chocolate. I will be going as an I’ll Diet Next Week Mom . ‘Why the wine?’ you may ask. Well, the vino is accommodating in retaining my sanity while witnessing all the little girls who DO use the above check record. I wish I were exaggerating, but truth is there are times I feel I should be handing out condoms in lieu of of Snickers.

For females in general, Halloween has gone from spooky to slutty. Thoughts the Dorothy costume unless she is sportin’ 5 inch platforms and exposed cleavage. Don’t ass with the creative, humorous or – God forbid - scary outfits. If you have girlie parts, this fete comes with a pass to show them off. Naughty nurses, salacious nuns and skanky pirates will be out on the slinking about this weekend enticing a whole lot of "eww" and very little "boo."

Salons see off downturn with the feelgood factor

Fiona Fowley wanted to be a beautician from the age of 12, and after 12 years of structure her own beauty business Zen Lifestyle into the biggest of its kind in Scotland, she has recently opened her third salon in Edinburgh in a £300,000 investment.

“We are in a like a shot-expanding industry, one of the few that is continuing to grow,” she says. “A lot of that is down to the feelgood go-between – you can come in here and get your tan or your lashes done, or a massage if you are stressed.

“It is an trice thing and makes you feel good about yourself.”

But persuading her hanker-time supportive bank to back the new venture earlier this year was not credulous in the current credit squeeze.

“We have had 15 national awards and been UK salon of the year twice, we have a at the end of the day strong team of people with low staff turnover, we have been in occupation 12 years with a perfect credit history ... at the last notes they insisted on a personal guarantee, which is not easy to get lifted – our aim is to get it out of the way as immediately as possible.”
