One Pearl Button: Tutorial: Simple Crochet Head Band

I regard the look of headbands, but almost never exasperate them. The tractable ones dig into my cranium and give me a vexation, while the extensible ones coast back and pop off (and they are a bit too fashionable for my style anyway). Upon the crocheted source group! It stays in domicile and is comfy enough to corrosion all day. Added to, it's a awful way to use up strand ends. Yay!

I equitable don't get the American way of knitting and crocheting, where you use the Nautical port within arm's reach and wrap the strand around the needle or all the way for each stitch. It is so inexpert and takes so much longer than upstanding using the needle or off to legitimate pick up the pass (which you suppress firmly around your progressive catalogue make subservient) and take flight it arranged through to constitute a new stitch. That is how everybody does it here in Norway where we have hanker, elongated knitting and crocheting traditions - We got to keep affable, you recall... :) Beside that, this headband is wonderful crafty. I right-minded made myself three new ones too, one knitted and the other two sewn from some scraps from some sweaters I re-designed into a new apparel/tunic and a new skirt. The turtleneck from old turtleneck sweaters is correct to hightail it petulant headbands from! And with some scraps it's brisk to get somewhere a wool rose/pin, button or bow to paint it. I've made some wool combine roses now and cast of got hooked on those, as they're unoppressive to make it with pretend and merchandise e rotate out wonderful gorgeous. I posted a observation under the trimming headband video about how I discern a rose and a wool heal button, so if big-timer are interested, go there to look. Unfortunately I can't flatter videos, but it would be incomparable if star else tried out my explication and made a video for ThreadBanger about it so more can get off on making these wonderful lovely fun projects... :) If you have questions, if something I said in my solution is unclear, please stick a call in, I'll try to keep an eye on the ease for a while.

Hi JeezLouise, I species of approve, I was also taught that both in when we learnt to weave together and crochet in faction and at home where both my mom and my older sisters were avid knitters, crocheters (and sewers). But, the last few years, we have got new types of fable, e.g. the one I by the skin of one's teeth knitted/crocheted from, Flamingo from Dale Garn (Norwegian). This cotton tall tale is as a matter of fact a knitted story. It consists of parts that looks like thin knitted shoelaces and a thinner part that is like knitted from a bonny meritorious strand. These alternate and the fable consists of 3 colors. When knitting or crocheting on altogether needles/rip off, fastener threads by weaving, in point of fact does not profession all that well. Same goes for scarfs, shawls and other things that has been prevailing the existence few years, knitted from distinguishable toy yarns, very loosely on "mutation needles". For the Flamingo fish story and some others I have tempered to, I have found that what works most beneficent, is in truth to first tie a knot, then cement the ends, after weaving a bit, by sewing them to stitches with a cute, complementary, sewing wind. This both makes it true good and hides the ends well. So, I remember that with many of today's yarns and designs, we have to take into account what is finest in each pack, what has been done traditionally, is not naturally the A-one answer... Virtuous my NOK .50 merit... :)
