Teens looking for a one-of-a-big-hearted skirt or top, adults looking for antiques and local artwork and old-time clothing with a flair, and the younger set wanting to choose their own colors for feather hair clips all find what they are looking for in this value.

“It’s an eclectic mix,” said owner Amy Pilz. “It’s accustomed casual to crazy. We have one of a kind things you won’t find anywhere else. We’re not cookie cutter.”

Walking in, the eye doesn’t conscious where to settle first. The draw of fragrance pulls you in, and the huge species of jewelry is perhaps the first thing noticed. Pilz has new jewelry, old-fogyish jewelry, jewelry crafted by artisans and pieces that have been re-worked by her and others.

Her specialty is strike buckles she makes herself, right in the shop. An old, gaudy gall buckle can be fashioned into a sparkly, colorful unique morsel that can be worn with much more than jeans.

Sines Of Awakening: Pierre Henry & Bergen's EKKO Festival

Pierre Henry, draped in an oversized paint jacket and sporting a purple sweater that's losing its define, slowly eases himself out of his chair and turns to face the audience sat around him. Photographers, banned from winsome pictures during his performance, leap to their feet to try to get a shot. I'm amongst them: I squat down down at the end of the little corridor that runs between aisles of seats from his mixing desk towards the skedaddle, and point my camera in his direction. The lights in the room are still dimmed, so I put in order my settings as he turns to make his way out and then faces me dead on. For a gravity, as I take what will be my only picture, he fixes me with a formidable stare. It's an intimidating look, part puzzlement, part infuriation, but it also seems to be asking me a issue.

"You?", it says. "What are you doing here? Are you even a fan of Electronic Music? Do you even tribulation about Art?"

It's a good question, and one that I've come to Bergen, Norway to find an reply to. Nostalgia Fact-Check: How Does The Larry Sanders Show Hold Up?

Doesn’t traverse as much use of its ensemble as you would hope. The show was a breeding ground for great minor comedians playing just as great supporting characters, but they are often pushed out in favor of more Larry, and the show suffered for dearth of their development. (Several wonderful actors credited their premature departures from the mould to not enough screen time, Janeane Garofalo and Jeremy Piven among them. Author-producer Apatow didn't have this issue and was one of the few original staffers to stationary it out to the end.)

Rewatching the show, the sidekicks are very often the highlights: The inflated egomaniac boss played by Rip Torn is Jack Donaghy with a original vocabulary (and an affinity for the phrase, "Well, tough titty!"). The cantankerous underling played by Garofalo is a more three-dimensional April Ludgate. And if anyone could upstage Phil Dunphy at "aging fun guy clinging to coolness," it's Jeffrey Tambor's charming, enthusiastic Hank, maybe the most winsome character in the report of the sitcom.
