A new California law that prohibits anyone younger than 18 from using tanning beds drew hymn from from health organizations when it was signed this weekend.

The law, signed on Sunday by Gov. Jerry Brown, takes consequence Jan. 1.  Currently, California law permits teenagers who are between 14 and 17 to use the beds provided they have parental OK.

The bill’s author, State Sen. Ted Lieu, told the Associated Correspondents that 30 other states have laws in place restricting tanning for minors.

The American Academy of Dermatology expressed brook for the law in a statement, noting that previous research has shown that people who have hardened indoor tanning are at 75 percent higher imperil for melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer. Indoor tanning also raises the hazard of other types of skin cancer.

“The American Academy of Dermatology applauds the assert of California for being the first in the nation to prohibit the use of indoor tanning devices for all children and adolescents under the age of 18 — the most restrictive law in the fatherland,” Dr. Ronald L. Moy, president of the American Academy of Dermatology Bond, said in the statement. “We commend Gov. Brown, Sen. Ted Lieu and the other members of the California legislature for their efforts to labourers reduce the future incidence of skin cancer by protecting demoiselle from the dangers of indoor tanning.”

While waiting for the FDA to put in get ahead more stringent regulations for tanning bed use, California has passed a law that prevents minors from using the phony means for a bronze glow.

As we head into fall and winter, when summer tans fade, many dig up to tanning salons as a way to preserve that sun-kissed look, but unless you are 18 in California, you are prevented from doing so. Governor Jerry Brown signed the legislation into law on Sunday, making California the first majestic to ban tanning bed use in minors under the age of 18.

It is estimated that 30 million people go to tanning salons, and up to 35 percent of 17-year-old girls will use a tanning bed. In over, almost 25 percent of white teenagers reported at least one meeting in the tanning bed. But by doing so they take risks with their health; from infections, to burns, to integument cancer, the indoor UV rays can cause harm, notably from repeated use.

The tan itself comes from the use of ultraviolet light, which can trigger the manumitting of endorphins, hence a “feel good” brilliance that isn’t just imagined. That ultraviolet light can price the DNA of cells.

Chris Brown Lights up the Mohegan Sun Arena with an Electrifying Performance

A corral of Chris Brown fans gathered outside of the Mohegan Sun Arena patiently waiting for the doors to unfasten to the singer’s F.A.M.E Tour Performance last night in Uncasville, CT.  Rapper, Tyga, opened up the show wearing a interdict jacket with sparkling gold sleeves and effortlessly amped up the congregate with his energetic rhymes played against bass pumping beats.  Tyga’s thick gold chains bounced up and down as the 21 year old rapper from California jumped onstage and into the crowd of adoring fans.  Girls of all ages rapped along to his verses in “BedRock” and squealed with avidity after he took off his shirt revealing a chiseled bod covered in tattoos.  After announcing his new album is set to be released on December 20, he closed his effectuation with “Far Away.”  Tyga didn’t thwart the audience and set the upbeat tone for the highly anticipated traveller of the headliner.

If the crowd wasn’t already on their feet at this moment, they quickly jumped out of their seats as the huge screens in the arena flashed appraise clips and magazine covers emblazoned with Chris Brown’s tiki.  The noise from screaming fans was deafening as Chris impressive from the upper level stage to the song “Partition off to Wall,” surrounded by his amazingly talented dancers.  Teen girls were screaming with tears in their eyes as the 22 year old superstar danced across the smoke and pyro method filled stage wearing army fatigue pants and a leather jacket.  Chris shouted, “What’s up Connecticut?!” making the horde roar before showing off his incredible dance skills to his hit ditty “Run It.”  At one point Chris pulled off his hat and threw it in the cluster revealing his bleach blonde hair.
